Wallis Annenberg Center For The Performing Arts Announces Inaugural Season

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts announces its Inaugural Season beginning with performances by the Martha Graham Dance Company, which open the 500-seat Goldsmith Theater on November 8 and 9, 2013, followed by the play Parfumerie by Miklos Laszlo, adapted by Edward P. Dowdall and directed by Mark Brokaw, from November 26 to December 22, 2013. The romantic tale Parfumerie inspired the films The Shop Around the Corner, In the Good Old Summertime, and Nora Ephron's You've Got Mail, as well as the Broadway musical She Loves Me. As a special program, an exhibition on perfume entitled Timeless Scents: 1370-2013, a history of iconic fragrances through the ages is being created especially for The Wallis by Chandler Burr, former New York Times scent critic.

Playing the role of Ichabod Crane in the award-winning Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company's production of the world premiere of 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,' is Matt Baxter Luceno. His first appearance with ELTC was playing Rodney Martin in the comedy 'It Pays to Advertise' last fall, and now he's back as the music and school teacher from Connecticut who lands a job in superstitious Tarrytown, New York.

Arts Centre Melbourne to Present Madame Butterfly Adaptation CHO CHO, 2-6 October

Based on the tragic tale of Giacomo Puccini's operatic masterpiece Madame Butterfly, Cho Cho is a bilingual drama set in Shanghai about the heroine's life that combines music and theatre as well as poetry and puppetry. This reimagined performance will spread its wings at Arts Centre Melbourne from 2 to 6 October 2013.

McCarter Theatre Center is pleased to announce its 2013-2014 roster of world-renowned artists on its 2013-14 Presenting Series. This quintessential summer concert, presented by Wells Fargo and conducted by Philadelphia Orchestra Associate Conductor Cristian M?celaru, is followed by a spectacular fireworks display on the Delaware River. Philadelphia audiences will enjoy an array of other performances in the tri-state area this summer, with a July concert in Princeton, New Jersey's Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall-the Orchestra's first concert in Princeton in nearly 50 years; two performances at the lush Meadow at LongwoodGardens; and two weeks of concerts at the Mann in beautiful and expansive Fairmount Park.

Boston Ballet Announces All Kylián To Open Spring 2013 Season

On March 7, 2013, Boston Ballet will premiere three powerful works by world-renowned contemporary choreographer, Ji?i Kylian. The program, titled All Kylian, will feature Wings of Wax, Tar and Feathers, and Symphony of Psalms. Boston Ballet is the first American company to present these ballets.
