San Francisco Opera General Director Matthew Shilvock and Music Director Nicola Luisotti today announced plans for the 2017-18 repertory season. The Company's 95th season will open Friday, September 8 with a gala performance of Giacomo Puccini'sTurandot led by Maestro Luisotti and an international cast starring Martina Serafin, Maria Agresta and Brian Jagde.

Opening January 5, 2017, the solo exhibition Bahar Behbahani: Let the Garden Eram Flourish at the Hood Museum of Art, presents a suite of new paintings, an installation, and a video from Persian Gardens-an ongoing series begun four years ago by Iranian-born, Brooklyn-based artist Bahar Behbahani.

The Fred Ebb Foundation has announced that its 2016 donation to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will total $1.675 million dollars, bringing the foundation's total contribution to BC/EFA to $13.325 million since it began 12 years ago. The foundation, which is funded by royalties from the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb's vast catalogue of work, makes an annual donation to BC/EFA.

Roger Rosenblatt-the acclaimed, award-winning essayist, memoirist, and New York Times bestselling author of Making Toast, Kayak Morning, and Lapham Rising-comes to Irish Arts Center on November 30 to read from his latest novel, Thomas Murphy, a reflective, bittersweet tale of an aging poet ruminating on his colorful life. After Rosenblatt's reading, the celebrated novelist Alice McDermott will join him for a conversation about the book.

The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell S. Bernard, Trustee) in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) will present the twelfth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Thomas Mizer and Curtis Moore, tonight from 6-8pm at a by-invitation-only ceremony in the Penthouse Lounge of The American Airlines Theater. The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, will be presented by Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley.

Comedy Central and National Lampoon star Tommy Koenig's one man "'musicomedy' - a flashback through our times and the music that defined them - Baby Boomer Baby comes to the Herberger Theater Center from Feb. 2-26.

American Theater Company (ATC) has restructured its 2016-17 Season and will present three of four previously announced plays, with an updated production schedule.

This summer, the 33rd season of Long Island's longest-running classical music festival comprises 14 concerts from July 31 to August 28, featuring the signature mix of renowned and up-and-coming artists and classic and new music that has made it one of the most noteworthy summer music festivals in the country.

American Theater Company (ATC) proudly announces Season 32, led by its newly appointed Artistic Director Will Davis and continuing the theater's dedication to developing new works. The 2016-17 season kicks off this September with the world premiere of Dan Aibel's T., an exploration of the competitive ice skating saga between Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding, directed byMargot Bordelon, Sept. 23-Oct. 30, 2016. In the New Year, ATC presents Jaclyn Backhaus' Men On Boats, making its regional premiere at ATC Jan. 6-Feb. 12, 2017, under Will Davis' direction after he remounts his acclaimed New York production Off Broadway at Playwrights Horizons this summer. Next spring brings another world premiere at ATC, Basil Kreimendahl's We're Gonna Be Okay, March 17-April 23, 2017.
