British-Nigerian, former U.S. model Phina Oruche is bringing her highly acclaimed one-woman show IDENTITY CRISIS to New York City's historic SoHo Playhouse as a part of the 12th Annual Fringe Encore Series. Identity Crisis is a comic tale that examines Oruche's own observations on what others have made of her black identity as she worked her way through being a fashion model, actress, radio presenter and writer in a world of fickle media. The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the World Premiere comedy The Few by award-winning playwright Samuel D. Hunter (The Whale). Directed by Davis McCallum, The Few will run Sept. 28 - Oct. 27, 2013 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run Sept. 28 - Oct. 2. Hamlet In Bed, the new play/event from Michael Laurence, the playwright/performer of the acclaimed Krapp, 39 (2009 Drama Desk nominee), will begin previews at the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street, NYC) on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. It will officially open on February 3rd. Directed by OBIE-winning director Lisa Peterson (An Iliad) and featuring OBIE-winner Lisa Emery (Relatively Speaking, Marvin's Room, Abigail's Party, A Kind of Alaska), Hamlet In Bed will end its limited engagement on March 17, 2013.

The New York Times reports today that Michael Laurence's Krapp, 39, the solo show that premiered in the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival and ran Off Broadway at the Soho Playhouse in 2009 will make its UK premiere this fall, with productions in Dublin and London. Krapp, 39 will play the Tristan Bates Theater in London's Covent Garden from November 22 through December 4, and from December 13 through December 22, with a stop at Axis-Ballymun in Dublin Dec from 7 through December 11. George Demas directs.
