The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) today announced the appointments of Andrew Blauvelt as Curator-at-Large for Design and John Underkoffler as Curator-at-Large for Design Technology, effective immediately. In these new curatorial roles, Blauvelt and Underkoffler will conceive and mount several design-focused exhibitions at MAD, engage leading international designers, and advance the Museum's scholarship and collecting practices.

As rehearsals begin, casting is announced for the West End transfer of the National Theatre and Theatr Clwyd's critically acclaimed co-production of Home, I'm Darling, a new play by Laura Wade, directed by Theatre Clwyd Artistic Director Tamara Harvey, featuring Katherine Parkinson, which begins performances at the Duke of York's Theatre on 26 January.

After a sell-out run in June this year in which Laura Linney made her London Theatre debut, she will return to the Bridge to reprise the title role in Richard Eyre's production of My Name is Lucy Barton. Running from 23 January -16 February 2019 for a strictly limited 26 performances, this haunting dramatic monologue is adapted by Rona Munro from Pulitzer Prize-winning Elizabeth Strout's 2016 New York Times best-selling short novel of the same name. Evening performances are Monday to Saturday at 7.45pm with Saturday matinees at 2.30pm. Tickets for My Name is Lucy Barton will go on sale for Priority Members today at 10am, for Advance Members on Thursday 18 October 2018 at 10am with tickets released for public sale on Friday 19 October 2018 at 10am.

The press preview of David Henry Hwang's award-winning play 'M. Butterfly,' produced by Broadway producer Jhett Tolentino and Frontrow Entertainment, at the Maybank Performing Arts Theater proved to be far stronger than the force of nature, fluttering nonchalantly despite looming news of a super typhoon. As if on cue, Typhoon Mangkhut was a no-show when the local press trooped to the Bonifacio Global City Arts Center to witness with excitement the return of this classic, 28 years after an 18-year-old RS Francisco won the hearts of critics and audiences alike in Dulaang UP's 1990 local premiere.

Stanislav Ioudenitch, Artistic Director of Park International Center for Music (Park ICM), announced today that their 2018-2019 season would kick off in September with a new performance home, the 1900 Building in Mission Woods, Kansas. "For the first time, we will perform our entire season at the 1900 Building as we adore performing in their wonderful spaces," said Ioudenitch. "Now between their two fabulous concert halls and their delicious restaurant, classical music lovers can have a full evening of fine wines and food, and cap it off with our world-class musicians! The Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) announced the winners of its 5th Annual Location Managers Guild International Awards (LMGI) tonight. The Motion Picture winners were DUNKIRK (filmed at the French location of the real evacuation and Malo-les-Bains) and BABY DRIVER (shot on locations throughout Atlanta). The Television Series winners were GAME OF THRONES (filmed in Northern Ireland, Croatia, Morocco, Malta and other locations) and OZARK (shot in seven areas in Atlanta).

Manatee Performing Arts Center is pleased to announce Manatee Players' production of 2.5 Minute Ride for 12 performances, April 5-22, in Bradenton Kiwanis Theater. The author, Lisa Kron, takes the audience on a ride, relaying the comedy and tragedy of her family and their lives as she clicks through family "slides" and tells the story attached to each.
