Morris, artistic director of the Ojai Music Festival and Ojai's 2009 music director eighth blackbird have announced the final programming for the 2009 Ojai Music Festival, which takes place from Thursday, June 11 to Sunday, June 14, 2009. This season, the four-day Festival, which for six decades has become well known for its fearlessness in championing pioneering musical ideas and personalities, pushes the envelope again with programming that reflects the qualities that have made eighth blackbird a growing musical phenomenon-genre-defying variety in wildly collaborative and visually dramatic presentations.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will embark on a two-week journey of South American music with conductor Miguel Harth-Bedoya and the ¡Música Ardiente? Festival, May 27-June 6.The festival, presented by CNN en Español, will feature three programs.

Over the past 18 months, the Mystery Festival has hosted such talent as Gene Hackman, Mary Higgins Clark, Josh Hutcherson (Journey to Center of the Earth), Anthony E. Zuiker (creator of C.S.I.), Rene' Balcer (creator of Law and Order :Criminal Intent), Bill Link (creator - Columbo and Murder She Wrote) Sue Grafton (The Alphabet Mysteries) and a dozen of others.
