The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra presents Raiders of the Lost Ark with live orchestral accompaniment, January 6-8 in Red Bank, Newark and New Brunswick. The Orchestra performs John Williams' epic score as the film Roger Ebert called 'a movie of glorious imagination and breakneck speed' screens above the stage. Steven Spielberg's timeless classic sees Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones on a quest to recover the legendary Ark of the Covenant and save the world. Constantine Kitsopoulos conducts.

Miller Theatre at Columbia University School of the Arts continues its 2016-17 Jazz series with the Marcus Roberts Trio - featuring Marcus Roberts, piano; Rodney Jordan, bass; and Jason Marsalis, drums - on Saturday, February 4, 2017, 8:00 p.m. at the Miller Theatre (2960 Broadway at 116th Street). 

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 32 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2017 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for The Old Globe and University of San Diego Shiley Graduate Theatre Program presentation of William Shakespeare's The Two Gentlemen of Verona, running November 12 - November 20 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, directed by Richard Seer, Director of Professional Training for the M.F.A. program, as part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Opening night is Today, November 12 at 8:00 p.m.

C.P.E. Bach's Symphony No. 5, a devilishly difficult showpiece, sets the tone with its careening runs and shocking use of harmony.

SCROOGE THE MUSICAL opens at Artisan Center Theater on Friday, November 18, 2016 and runs through Friday, December 23, 2016.  The 196 seat theater-in-the-round is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst.  Performances are at 7:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday,Friday, and Saturday with 3:00pm matinees on Saturdays beginning November 26.
