Producers Darlene Kaplan, Laura Janik Cronin and Scott J. Newsome, have announced, today, the cast and creative team for the Off-Broadway premiere of The Stone Witch, a play by Shem Bitterman (A Death in Colombia, Influence). Performances begin Monday, March 12, 2018 for an open-ended engagement at The Westside Theatre - Upstairs (407 West 43rd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Opening Night is set for Sunday evening, March 25, 2018 at 6:30PM.

Chicago's Eclipse Theatre Company, the only theatre company in the Midwest to focus on a single playwright each season, has announced that they will feature the works of legendary American playwright William Inge for the 26th Anniversary, 2018 Season. Eclipse plans to explore the range of Inge's canon with three full productions, readings, and public events focused on the playwright and his works.

Go Comedy is excited to host the 11th annual Snow Day improv marathon. Snow Day brings together improvisors from across the area to raise money for Gilda's Club of Metro Detroit, The Tim Hayden Scholarship Fund and The Diana George Jacokes Endowment Fund. The 26 hour event will feature performances by nearly 50 improv groups including a special 2-hour family friendly block from Noon-2pm on Sunday, January 14. Performances will kick off at 8:00pm on Saturday, January 13 and continue through 10:00pm Sunday, January 14. Tickets range from $10 to $20 for several performance blocks with a full 26 hour performance pass available for $100. An innovative partnership founded to increase touring by dance companies to rural areas has been awarded 416,855 to continue its work over a further three years. The new funding, announced today, will allow the Rural Touring Dance Initiative (RTDI) to build on its success by working with more local rural touring schemes and venues, delivering 195 performances over the next three years across England, Wales and Scotland. This is an increase on the 115 performances staged in the first three years of the RTDI, which included touring shows by Uchenna Dance, Lost Dog, Luca Silvestrini's Protein and Joan Clevill Dance.

Artistic Director of Deafinitely Theatre, Paula Garfield, today announces a new, site-specific production of Mike Bartlett's play Contractions as the company marks its 15th anniversary. A co-production with New Diorama Theatre and staged on a disused trading floor at New Diorama's ND2, it will be Deafinitely Theatre's first site-specific show. Garfield directs Fifi Garfield and Abigail Poulton in the production which opens at New Diorama's ND2 on 8 November, with previews from 1 November, and runs until 29 November.

Ehrenkranz Artistic Director Jane Moss today announced Lincoln Center's 2017 White Light Festival, which runs from October 18 through November 15. With more than 35 events presented in 13 venues throughout the city, including U.S. and New York premieres and nine commissions, the eighth annual international festival will explore transcendence, interior illumination, and faith in the human spirit, as exhibited through artistic expression across continents and centuries. The multidisciplinary festival takes its name from a quotation by Estonian composer Arvo Part: "Icouldcomparemymusic to white light, which contains all colors.
