New this year will be the Gala's move to Saturday evening instead of Monday night as in past seasons. Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art Presents 'Magnetic Fields' Exhibit

Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art is pleased to announce the forthcoming exhibition, Magnetic Fields: Expanding American Abstraction, 1960s to Today, which will be on view at Kemper Museum June 8 through September 17, 2017, and will then travel to the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C. Magnetic Fields is the first U.S. presentation dedicated exclusively to the formal and historical dialogue of abstraction by women artists of color. The exhibition has also garnered major support and merit through the reception of prestigious grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. The exhibition is organized by Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City, Missouri, and co-curated by Erin Dziedzic, director of curatorial affairs at Kemper Museum, and Melissa Messina, independent curator and curator of the Mildred Thompson Estate, Atlanta, Georgia.

The IGAPP exposes Inglewood audiences to the practices of contemporary artists and supports the work and growth of artists. Ong's six-hour adaptation of the Chinese classic, 'Dream of the Red Chamber,' debuts Acts I & II on Saturday, April 22 at 10:30 am at the Edward Vincent Jr Park Amphitheater, 714 Warren Lane in Inglewood. American Conservatory Theater Now Accepting Applications for Fall 2017 San Francisco Semester

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) announced today that applications for the fall 2017 San Francisco Semester (SFS) are now being accepted. The study-away program brings undergraduate students, recent college graduates, and international students into an active, ongoing engagement with the eclectic and energetic arts community of San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area. Grounded in a rich academic curriculum, the San Francisco Semester focuses on the practical aspects of the craft of acting and life in the professional theater. The 15-week program features a 17-credit core curriculum enhancing students' study with rigorous, upper-level classes in acting styles, voice/dialects, physical theater, and devised (student-created) work.
