YoungArts, the core program of the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts is proud to welcome several world-renowned artists to Miami January 9-14, 2012, to serve as Master Teachers for YoungArts Week. Every year YoungArts selects approximately 150 of the nation's most talented 17-18 year old artists to travel to Miami for YoungArts Week, an all-expense paid weeklong gathering that includes master classes, workshops, readings, and exhibitions and performances that are open to the public. This year's class of students will have the exclusive experience of participating in master classes with Robert Redford, Bill T. Jones, Jacques d'Amboise, Jon Secada, Malcolm Gets and Debi Mazar. They will also participate in a special arts advocacy session with Robert L. Lynch (Americans for the Arts).

The New York Times reports today that a FINDING NEVERLAND musical has been greenlighted by The Weinstein Company for further development following successful readings in London last week. The project was last workshopped in New York this past spring and was scheduled to premiere at the La Jolla playhouse this fall. The Weinstein's pulled the project at the last minute (which was replaced at La Jolla by the Startford Festival's Jesus Christ Superstar, currently running) to develop further. Tony Award winner Rob Ashford helms the project, which has Broadway apsirations. The project marks the first musical on which the Weinstein company is lead producer.

The John Doyle-helmed production, in which the actors also serve as the show's musicians, runs March 3 through March 31, 2012 in The Playhouse's Robert S. Marx Theatre.
