On Sunday, January 6 between 8 PM-12 midnight The Big Broadcast celebrates forty years on WFUV (90.7 FM/wfuv.org). Host Rich Conaty will mark the occasion by airing excerpts of an historic interview with Connie Boswell of the Boswell Sisters which hasn't been heard since 1974.

Warner Home Video will release two new DVD box sets early in the first quarter as part of their 90th Anniversary initiative running throughout 2013: The Best of Warner Bros. 20 Film Collections: Best Pictures (January 29) and The Best of Warner Bros. 20 Film Collections: Musicals (February 5).

Profiles in History, run by Joe Maddalena, has announced that the personal correspondence and manuscripts from the world's greatest authors will be included at their December 18 auction, The Property of a Distinguished American Private Collector. Part I of The Property of a Distinguished American Private Collector will take place in Los Angeles and include 300 of the most important manuscripts of the collection.

Warner Bros. to Release Restored 3D Edition of THE WIZARD OF OZ

Warner Bros. announced today that the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz will be fully restored and converted into 3D, as a part of the studio's 90th Anniversary celebration next year. The film is currently being restored and will be released on Blu-ray 3D in either September or October of next year.
