BroadwayWorld.com has learned that the Broadway-bound revival of Godspell, which is now aiming for the Great White Way in the 2011-12 theatre season will likely play in the Circle in the Square Theatre, which is currently home to the open-ended run of LOMBARDI. No official announcement has been made and the production, which held its first event last week for the show's investors, had no comment as well. The production will be directed by Daniel Goldstein and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli.

Theatrical producer and Tony-Nominee Ken Davenport today announced the first-ever crowd-funded Broadway show. Davenport is aiming to bring together the largest community of theater lovers and investors ever assembled to produce a production on Broadway with his upcoming revival of Godspell. The announcement proclaims that 'Through this historic initiative, the innovative producer has made it possible for potentially thousands of people across the country to 'see their names in lights' as producers of a classic Broadway musical.'

A pageant that moves from moment to moment, GODSPELL features ten performers who are dressed as clowns. Jesus is played by local talent, Patrick Watkins; Judas is Josh Oliveras. The ensemble includes: Karen Reid, Rheanna Salazar, Ashlee Madhukar, Darnell Blake, Claudette Farquharson, Jonathan Yepez, Colin Healy and Dominuque Farquharson.

He made a pact with God that he would be the vessel through which God's music would spring. All was good until Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart arrives in Vienna. In horror Salieri determines that it is Mozart instead who is his God's chosen voice.

Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts Theaterfest is pleased to present the American Premiere of My Fairytale, a musical about Hans Christian Andersen. The musical is composed by Stephen Schwartz, the award-winning composer of Godspell, Pippin and Wicked, and will be presented in time for the 2011 centennial celebration of Solvang, CA as a Danish-American community. This exclusive engagement will preview in Santa Maria's Marian Theatre August 12 - 19, 2011, then open under the stars in the Solvang Festival Theater August 26, playing through September 25, 2011.
