Queens Theatre (QT) is pleased to announce that their 2014-2015 Season Dance Series will begin with performances by the world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company today October 11 at 2pm & 8pmand Sunday, October 12 at 3pm at Queens Theatre (14 United Nations Avenue South, Flushing Meadows Corona Park). Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for Dracula, the Original Vampire Play, the second production in the 'Alley Theatre @ UH' season. Featuring iconic costume and set designs by Edward Gorey, the Alley's production is based on the original 1927 adaptation of the classic thriller that marvelously balances the menace of the horror tale with sophisticated satire.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic and its Music Director Gustavo Dudamel opened the 2014/15 season with A Celebration of John Williams: Opening Night Gala Concert, a star-studded evening honoring the greatest film composer of all time at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Tuesday, September 30. The event featured the LA Phil, led by Dudamel, world-renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman, soloists Dan Higgins, Glenn Paulson and Michael Valerio, the U.S. Army Herald Trumpets and the Los Angeles Children's Chorus, led by Anne Tomlinson and supported by members from the Angeles Chorale. Also showcased were several elaborate video installations created by projection designer Netia Jones and critically-acclaimed creative studio LIGHTMAP. The all-Williams concert program included specially selected works from throughout his impressive career as well as a surprise appearance during the encores.

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) has announced initial details on its 2014-15 Concert Series. Encompassing over 50 different concerts, this series begins with a performance by the internationally acclaimed Ariel Quartet with legendary guest artist Menahem Pressler on Sept. 9, 2014, and concludes with a number of performances by CCM's Preparatory Department running May 1 - 9, 2015.

Annie Oakley, Buffalo Bill, Chief Sitting Bull, and Frank Butler will appear in Haven Academy of the Arts production of ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, a musical with lyrics and music by Irving Berlin and a book by Dorothy Fields and her brother Herbert Fields. The family-friendly musical presents a fictionalized version of the life of Annie Oakley (1860-1926), a sharpshooter who starred in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show and her romance with sharpshooter Frank Butler.

After an astounding record-breaking 22 month run, their award-winning production of PEARLS OVER SHANGHAI, San Francisco's longest-running Cockettes musical hit is back on The Hypnodrome stage for a Fifth Anniversary Revival production. The show has been extended for the final time and MUST CLOSE on July 26, 2014.

The worldwide smash hit 'rock theatrical', Queen and Ben Elton's We Will Rock You, built around 24 of Queen's biggest hits will rock The 5th Avenue Theatre July 8-13. 'Wings,' shown on June 22 at 8:30p.m., is the first of ELTC's and The Cape May Film Society's 'Sunday Film Series' with the theme 'Pilots and Pirates.' The other 'Pilot' film is 'The High and the Mighty' on June 29 and both are directed by William Wellman. The 'Pilot' films are 'The Crimson Pirate' and 'The Black Pirate' on August 3 and 10 at 8:30p.m. In the fall, on October 19 at 8:00p.m., the final day of the Cape May Film Festival, it's an evening of spooky classic silent short films.

Concert aficionados from around the country will want to mark their calendars for Music Mountain, America's oldest continuing summer chamber music festival, when it kicks off its gala 85th Anniversary Season beginning Today, June 7th! To commemorate the milestone, Music Mountain will continue their season past Labor Day - making the 85th Anniversary Season the longest running season since the 1930s! The summer will include returning chamber ensembles, first time guests and the ever-popular Today Evening Twilight Series featuring Jazz, Country, and Folk Music. The Citizens Theatre today announces its Autumn 2014 season including: A new production of Shakespeare's Hamlet directed by Dominic Hill and starring Brian Ferguson, Roberta Taylor and Peter Guinness; Headlong's 5-star production of 1984, transferring direct from a West End run for its Scottish premiere; National Theatre of Scotland's gutsy production of In Time O' Strife, Joe Corrie's examination of a Fife mining community; Kill Johnny Glendenning, a brutal new comedy by young Scottish writer DC Jackson; and a new production of A Christmas Carol directed by Dominic Hill.

The first UK production in nearly 100 years of St John Ervine's timeless tragedy John Ferguson opens at the Finborough Theatre for a four week run from today, 20 May 2014 - Saturday, 14 June 2014.

UnsungMusicalsCo. (UMC) will launch its 2014 developmental reading series at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts with a special presentation of Peggy-Ann, the hit 1926 musical comedy with a book by Tony Award winner Herbert Fields (Annie Get Your Gun) and a score by the legendary songwriting team of Richard Rodgers & Lorenz Hart (Pal Joey, On Your Toes). The reading, directed by Ben West (Unsung Carolyn Leigh, The Fig Leaves Are Falling, At Home Abroad), will be held Thursday, May 22 at 2:30 PM in the Bruno Walter Auditorium.

Today in 1946, the second Broadway revival of Showboat opened at the Ziegfeld Theatre, and ran for 418 performances. Show Boat is a musical in two acts with music by Jerome Kern and book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. It was originally produced in New York in 1927 and in London in 1928, and was based on the 1926 novel of the same name by Edna Ferber. The plot chronicles the lives of those living and working on the Cotton Blossom, a Mississippi River show boat, from 1880 to 1927. The show's dominant themes include racial prejudice and tragic, enduring love.
