Producer John Breglio and the Apollo Theater Foundation, Inc. will bring Broadway uptown for four weeks only with Dreamgirls at the Apollo Theater, prior to the national tour of the new production of the groundbreaking musical. The national tour of Dreamgirls will kick-off at Harlem's legendary Apollo Theater (253 West 125 Street) beginning previews Saturday, November 7, 2009, and opening Sunday, November 22, 2009, for 4 weeks only, through Sunday December, 6, 2009.

The Joyce Theater will present the Bill T. Jones / Arnie Zane Dance Company for a one-week engagement from November 10 - 14. Appearing on The Joyce stage for the first time since 1996, the company will present the New York premiere of the critically acclaimed Serenade / The Proposition, one of three pieces created by Bill T. Jones in celebration of the bicentennial of the birth of Abraham Lincoln. Serenade / The Proposition was commissioned by The Joyce and had its world premiere at the American Dance Festival in 2008.

Wayne Newton first came to Las Vegas on the bus from Arizona as a 17 year-old in 1959. In the 50 years since, he's become as much a part of the city as, say, Broadway is part of New York. Performing here over the years, Newton earned the sobriquet 'Mr. Las Vegas' and has served as a representative of his adopted home in many arenas. But, the largest of those arenas is, of course, entertainment.
