The epic story of King Henry V's battle with the French during the Hundred Years' War comes alive for the first time at the Folger Theatre, in William Shakespeare's historical drama Henry V. The production, directed by Robert Richmond (Othello and Henry VIII at the Folger), stars Zach Appelman (War Horse on Broadway) in his Folger Theatre debut as Henry V, and will run from tonight, January 22 - March 3, 2013.

The former Rockette has done everything from Berlin to Sondheim to Wildhorn on Bway, as well as 'Rock of Ages' and 'Chorus Line'.

Kevin Gray, playing The King of Siam in St. Louis' currently running production of THE KING AND I, returns to The Muny after previously playing the Engineer in Miss Saigon (2001). In this conversation with Muny Executive Producer Mike Isaacson, Gray discusses his varied career and his rexamination of this role, one he's played before, for The Muny's production. Kevin Gray, playing The King of Siam, returns to The Muny after previously playing the Engineer in Miss Saigon (2001). Making her Muny debut as Anna Leonowens is Laura Michelle Kelly. This marks their first appearance at the Pillow since their historic two-week engagement in 1964, a high-profile showcase that launched the company toward international recognition. The Muny has announced principal casting for the seventh and final show of its 94th season, The King and I, August 6-12, directed by Rob Ruggiero and choreographed by Ralph Perkins. The King and I is sponsored by BMO Harris Bank.

Fans will have the opportunity to submit a 250 to 500 word essay for consideration. Five finalists will be chosen by the staff of BroadwayWorld.com in consultation with Broadway Records. Frank Wildhorn, Constantine Maroulis and Broadway Records will select the Grand Prize Winner who will have his or her liner notes essay will be included in the upcoming recording.

While many theatres close for the summer months, Performance Network is full steam ahead, offering audiences an array of entertainment options, including the upcoming Fireside Festival of New Works. As part of the theatre's continued dedication to support and provide a voice for playwrights, the series will be held today, June 24 through June 27, 2012. This festival of staged readings will feature new works by four playwrights, including Network regulars Joseph Zettelmaier and Kim Carney.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced the directors for the Company's 2012-2013 Main Stage season at the Addison Theatre Centre. Directing the season opener, The Mystery of Irma Vep (September 28 - October 21, 2012) will be Terry Martin. It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play (November 23 - December 16, 2012) will be directed by Mark Fleischer. Black Tie (May 31 - June 23, 2013) will be directed by Rene Moreno. As previously announced, Putting It Together (January 11 - February 3, 2013) and The Grapes of Wrath (April 5-28, 2013), will be directed by Terry Martin. The director for Xanadu (July 26 - August 18, 2013) will be announced at a later date.
