The ceremony will be directed by Tim Butterfield, Artistic Director of the Straphanger Collective and written by playwright Christopher Weikle.

The Old Globe will host the 2012 Globe Gala on Saturday, July 28 in support of the theater's education and artistic programs. The annual event will feature an exclusive performance by Broadway veteran and Tony Award winner Lea Salonga, known worldwide for her roles in Miss Saigon and Les Miserables.
