Running through Sunday, I was fortunate enough to attend the tour stop's opening night, as was fellow BWW Orlando editor Kimberly Moy. As we did when we discussed THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, first show of the 2014-2015 Orlando Broadway Series, we had a back-and-forth conversation about CINDERELLA. While I tend to look at things from a more historical and critical point of view, Kim is an admitted fan girl.

This fall, Broadway will welcome a slew of British actors- some of whom will be making their US stage debuts in incoming productions. And it's not just performers. We're getting some complete British imports in shows like A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE and KING CHARLES III. Below, we're taking a moment to shine a spotlight on this season's British imports.

·         In 2016 the Royal Court Theatre celebrates its 60th birthday by looking towards the future. The Joyce Theater Foundation, Linda Shelton Executive Director, proudly kicks-off its 2015 fall season on September 22 with a world premiere by Camille A. Brown & Dancers. International City Theatre has announced a season of five critically acclaimed plays by six multiple award-winning writers for 2016. The company's 31st season launches on Feb. 12 at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center.

InPlay, Inc., a theatrical producing company started in 1999, has re-emerged with a new commitment to its mission to create and maintain a climate of diversity in Kansas City's theatre community.  InPlay now will not only produce its own productions, but will collaborate with other organizations to fulfill its mission.

July might have just begun, but let me tell you things are in full swing here in Sonoma, CA.  Just recently at Transcendence Theatre Company we started a new show, closed the first show with a bang, actively participated in volunteering opportunities, and joined in our local 4th of July celebrations.  But I'll let some of our Transcendence resident artists go into more detail about their personal favorite activities of these past well-lived days.

The next show in the 65th Music Circus season is the hit musical comedy Bye Bye Birdie. Performances are Tuesday, July 7 through Sunday, July 12. The spirited cast includes Broadway performers, Music Circus audience favorites and some fresh faces making their Music Circus debuts.
