For more than a half century, William Shatner has been synonymous with pop culture. From his international breakout role of 'Captain Kirk' in the original 'Star Trek' series-and its numerous incarnations-to famed 'T.J. Hooker' in the 1980's up to the 'Priceline' pitchman of today, Shatner has thrilled millions in his varied career as an award-winning actor, director, producer, writer, recording artist, and horseman. One of Hollywood's most recognizable figures will also be the headliner in the inaugural Wizard World Comic Con Boise (set for July 13-15) at the Boise Centre West this summer, when he appears on Sunday, July 15, when he will greet fans, sign autographs, pose for photo ops and conduct an interactive fan Q&A. Guests have discussed topics such as addiction, grief, childhood, marriage, combat and parenthood. Off the screen and broadcast waves, Shatner has authored nearly 30 best-sellers in both the fiction and non-fiction genres. His autobiography, Up Till Now, was a New York Times best-seller and was followed by Shatner Rules which was released in October 2011. He also penned Hire Yourself, released in May 2015. Shatner is among the first group of celebs committing to the Wizard World Comic Con Boise roster, which also includes the 'Firefly'/Serenity duo of Jewel Staite ('Stargate: Atlantis') and Sean Maher ('Ryan Caufield: Year One'), the 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' tandem of James Marsters ('Vidiots') and Charisma Carpenter, Jason David Frank ('Mighty Morphin Power Rangers') and Thomas Ian Nicholas (Rookie of the Year, American Pie).
