DanceWorks, Toronto's longest running contemporary dance series, proudly presents cutting-edge Vancouver dance company Shay Kuebler Radical System Art in its Toronto premiere with the startlingly athletic Glory.  Choreographed by Artistic Director Shay Kuebler, it uses a mixture of martial arts, hip-hop and contemporary dance to explore the glorification of violence in our media-drenched culture. This multi-media work runs Friday April 28 and Saturday April 29 at 8pm nightly at Harbourfront Centre Theatre as part of the NextSteps series.

As Tara Arts celebrates its 40th anniversary throughout 2017, the company continues to put the experiences of the UK's diverse communities centre stage.

The tenor Joshua Blue is the First Place winner of the Oratorio Society of New York (OSNY)'s 2017 Lyndon Woodside Oratorio-Solo Competition. The award was presented following a performance by eight finalists in Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall on Saturday, April 8. The Oratorio-Solo Competition, the only competition to focus exclusively on oratorio singing and now in its 40th year. The full list of finalists and prizes is:

On April 15 at The Great Hall in Toronto, Canadian Improv Games (CIG) will celebrate 40 years of success in advancing the practice of improvisational theatre in Canada.

The new musical, Hit Her with the Skates, by Christine Rea & Rick Briskin, directed by Michael Schiralli with musical direction by Brandon Ethridge and choreography by Gina Ventura, will get a pre-New York developmental production at Hamilton Stage (UCPAC, Rahway, NJ) from May 12 - 27, 2017.

With Travesties and David Baddiel: My Family Not the Sitcom taking up residence in the West End, Funny Girl on the road as part of a major national tour, the Menier Chocolate Factory today announces the West End transfer of their current critically acclaimed revival of Terence Rattigan's Love in Idleness.

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announces that iconic stage and film actress Judith Light will receive the 17th Monte Cristo Award. An alumna of the O'Neill, Judith first performed at the O'Neill's 1977 National Playwrights Conference.
