More than 25 nominations of outstanding actors, directors, designers and ensembles were nominated by The Boston Theater Critics Association (BTCA), with winners to be revealed at the 33nd Annual Elliot Norton Awards tonight, May 11, 2015 at 7 PM, at Boston's Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre.

Acclaimed Off-Broadway theater company Playwrights Horizons has announced details for its 2015 special online Auction.  Bidding for the auction, which will feature an eclectic array of items and unique opportunities, begins today, Tuesday, May 5 at www.CharityBuzz.com/PlaywrightsHorizons. Online bidding will continue through Tuesday, May 19. 

Woodie King Jr's New Federal Theatre will continue its 46th season dedicated to Amira Baraka with the world premiere of his final play, The Most Dangerous Man In America (W. E. B. Du Bois).  Performances will begin May 28th, with opening night set for June 11th at the Castillo Theater (543 West 42nd Street). This limited Off-Broadway engagement, directed by Woodie King Jr., will continue through June 28th only.  

Steppenwolf Theatre Company has announced that incoming artist director, Anna D. Shapiro, will helm the world premiere of Tracy Letts' new play MARY PAGE MARLOWE. The production will run March 31 - May 29, 2016 in the Downstairs Theatre.

Two of the most highly acclaimed British actors of their generation, Clare Higgins and Greg Hicks, are to star in the World Premiere of Clarion, set in the office of Britain's worst newspaper, the Daily Clarion.

The Playwrights Horizons world premiere of IOWA, a new musical play written by Susan Smith Blackburn Prize finalist Jenny Schwartz (God's Ear, Somewhere Fun), music by Todd Almond (Stage Kiss at PH, Kansas City Choir Boy, The Tempest, On the Levee) and lyrics by Mr. Almond and Ms. Schwartz, opens tonight, April 13, 2015.

Among this year's nominees for Outstanding Musical Production is the American Repertory Theater's FINDING NEVERLAND, now in previews at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The production's Laura Michelle Kelly also received a nod in the category of Outstanding Musical Performance by an Actress.

San Francisco Playhouse Artistic Director Bill English and Producing Director Susi Damilano announced selections today for the 2015-2016 Mainstage season. Three additional world premieres will be announced soon as part of their Sandbox Series of new plays.

Signature Theatre has announced eight productions for the 2015-16 25th Anniversary Season at the company's Frank Gehry-designed Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Tony Award-winning actor and clown Bill Irwin opens Philadelphia Theatre Company's new Theatre Masters Series on February 16 at 7:00 PM at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets). Irwin will be joined in his conversation by arts consultant and former Executive Director of the American Theatre Wing Howard Sherman.

Woodie King Jr's New Federal Theatre kicks off its 46th season with 'The Amira Baraka Project' - featuring a revival of his early acclaimed play Dutchman from 1964 and the world premiere of his final play, Most Dangerous Man In America (W. E. B. Du Bois), written fifty years later. Dutchman, directed by Woodie King Jr., will begin performances tonight, February 5th, with opening night set for February 20th at the Castillo Theater (543 West 42nd Street). This limited Off-Broadway engagement will continue through March 8th only. Most Dangerous Man In America (W. E. B. Du Bois) follows in May.
