Village Players Theater is proud to announce two new Educational Opportunities housed under the Village Players Training Center: Village Players Youth Training Center and Village Players Professional Training Center. This fall the Village Players Professional Training Center will be offering Weekend Intensive Workshops at Village Players Performing Arts Center on Sundays in November and December from 9am-2pm for Adults. The musical comedy showcases costumes by Jenny Poole, scenic design by Martin Scott Marchitto, lighting design by Carol Wisner, musical direction by Mitch Fuller, and choreography by Roxanne Nielsen. Shows run Thursdays-Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 28 and Sunday, July 5 at 6 p.m. There will be no show on July 4. Bristol Riverside Theatre has announced a change to its final show of the 2008-2009 season and is pleased to present an original production of the Off-Broadway smash, Altar Boyz, from May 12 through May 31. BRT's production brings to Bristol two of the play's creators - Music Director Gary Adler, who co-wrote the music and lyrics, and Director and Tony-nominated Choreographer (and Bristol native) Christopher Gattelli, who handled the original Off-Broadway choreography.

The Tony® award-winning musical comedy ? one of Broadways most talked about hits ? is in attendance at San Jose Rep. This hilarious tale of six adolescent outsiders vying for the Spelling Bee title is directed by Timothy Near. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee begins previews on May 9, opens on May 15 and closes June 7.
