Waterwell announced today the revival of the Blueprint Specials, a series of lost WWII-era musicals composed principally by Broadway legend Frank Loesser to be presented in association with the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum and The Public Theater's Under the Radar Festival. The production will star Tony Award nominees Laura Osnes (Cinderella, Bonnie and Clyde) and Will Swenson (Hair) and be directed by Drama Desk nominee Tom Ridgely.

The Santa Barbara Symphony, in collaboration with the Santa Barbara Center for the Performing Arts (SBCPA), will present a special family performance of Peter and the Wolf, Sergei Prokofiev's enchanting musical tale of adventure and bravery, at 3 pm on Saturday, November 26, in the Granada Theatre. Featuring celebrated storyteller Michael Katz as narrator, the concert will be preceded by interactive musical activities in the Granada lobby organized by the Santa Barbara Zoo, the Symphony's own Music Van, the Santa Barbara Public Library, and MOXI - the Wolf Museum of Exploration and Innovation. Ticket prices start at $10; family 4-packs are available for $25. Premium seating costs $50.

What: New York City teens from impoverished communities blossom with self confidence and the life skill of cooking as they pursue culinary achievement in Teen Battle Chef (TBC), the national culinary nutrition program from FamilyCook Productions.
'The Sizzle of Pursuit' follows a group of teens training to develop culinary skills and healthy eating habits to battle the chronic diseases and life stresses of growing up in poverty-dense communities. Students from TBC programs at Edward A. Reynolds West Side High School in Harlem and Health Careers High School in Washington Heights formed competition teams with Franklin K Lane students in Brooklyn to compete in Teen Battle Chef Live in 2015. Documentarian Gillian Aldrich, whose credits include working for director Michael Moore, followed the students as they prepped for the completion.
Former First Lady of New York, Michelle Paige-Paterson will moderate a short post-film discussion to include special guest Claus Meyer, co-founder of world renowned noma and The Melting Pot Foundation.
The event is presented by FamilyCook Productions, and co-sponsored by EmblemHealth and the Metro-Manhattan Chapter of the Links, Inc. The event is open to the public and free to attend, though space is limited. RVSP: paige@familycookproductions.com.

FamilyCook Productions (FCP) www.familycookproductions.com is a nonprofit organization founded in 1995 to teach nutrition through cooking to K-12 students and their families. FCP has reached over 200,000 families nationwide and spawned over 130 Teen Battle Chef programs in 26 states. From the prisons of Denmark to the ghettos of Bolivia, The Melting Pot has successfully worked with at-risk communities to build solidarity through the celebration of local cuisine while providing marketable skills for their most vulnerable members. The Student Chef Program consists of advanced culinary trainings well as front-of-house training. Students will receive stipends while working in the cafe, restaurant, and bakery as part of their training.
