The Triad is honored to welcome to its stage the original ‘Cathy' in ‘The Last 5 Years,' Lauren Kennedy (‘Spamalot), and fellow Broadway veterans Tituss Burgess (‘The Little Mermaid'), Stephanie Umoh (‘Ragtime'), Kristy Cates (‘Wicked'), Matt DeAngelis (‘Hair'), Ashley Kate Adams (‘La Cage aux Folles'), Emily Afton (‘Hair'), Ryah Nixon (‘9 to 5,' nat'l tour), and Trevor McQueen (‘Annie Get Your Gun') for a one-night-only concert featuring the music of Georgia Stitt and Jason Robert Brown to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, with music direction by Benjamin Rauhala.

Producers Jeffrey Finn, Jill Furman, John N. Hart Jr., Patrick Milling Smith and Roy Furman have announced the on-sale Ticketing schedule for two-time Tony Award nominee, Emmy Award and Golden Globe winner Alan Rickman (Private Lives, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, the Harry Potter franchise) making his eagerly-anticipated return to Broadway starring in the World Premiere of SEMINAR, a new comedy by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Peabody Award winner Theresa Rebeck (Mauritius, The Understudy, Omnium Gatherum, The Family of Mann, Spike Heels, NBC's upcoming 'Smash'). Directed by acclaimed Obie Award winner Sam Gold (Circle Mirror Transformation, The Aliens, Tigers Be Still, Kin, The Coward) in his Broadway debut, the production will also star Tony Award nominee Lily Rabe (The Merchant of Venice, Steel Magnolias, this summer's lauded A Doll's House at Williamstown) and Obie Award winner Hamish Linklater (The School for Lies, Twelfth Night, 'The New Adventures of Old Christine'). A grand gala evening celebrating the legacy of late actor and comedian Bob Hope and honoring decades of support by Interpublic Group, the event begins at 7:00 PM with a concert at Carnegie Hall featuring a special lineup of concert artists, followed by a black tie dinner and dance held at the luxurious Plaza Hotel.

Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post this morning that Patrick Cassidy is at work on a new piece about his father, the late musical actor Jack Cassidy, who died in an accidental fire at the age of 49. The younger Cassidy is developing a one-man show about Jack, with the help of some of Jack's old friends, including Hal Prince and John McMartin.

Off-Broadway's Irish Repertory Theatre will end its run of CANDIDA -- George Bernard Shaw's classic about a clergyman and his wife who captures the attention of a young poet -- on April 18th at the Irish Repertory Theatre in Manhattan. Tony and Oscar Award-winner Tony Walton, who helmed the Irish Repertory's acclaimed revivals of Shaw's THE DEVIL'S DISCIPLE and MAJOR BARBARA, directed the run of the show.

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts' Theatre on Film and Tape Archive (TOFT) is to tape the Irish Repertory Theatre's hit revival of George Bernard Shaw's CANDIDA on April 21. As previously announced, the acclaimed production, which recently received a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Outstanding Revival, has been extended until Sunday, April 25 at the Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) in Manhattan.
