The Muny announced today the parental powerhouse that will star in the theatre's closing centennial season production,Meet Me In St. Louis, August 4 - 12. Tony-nominated Erin Dilly will star alongside real-life husband Stephen R. Buntrock as Mrs. Anna and Mr. Alonso Smith, respectively.

A Deaf actor, Castille is celebrated for his performances in Tribes at ACT Theatre in Seattle and in Spring Awakening with Deaf West on Broadway. Quasimodo, who is deaf in Victor Hugo's literary masterpiece, is a character that Castille and The 5th are excited to elevate and delve more deeply into with the real-life experiences and stories of a deaf actor leading the way. Castille, who makes his 5th Avenue Theatre debut, will use American Sign Language (ASL) throughout his performance. Justin Gregory Lopez returns to The 5th (Lerner and Loewe's Paint Your Wagon) as one of the cathedral's gargoyles and as Quasimodo's "voice" in song.

Rehearsals are in full swing for The 5th Avenue Theatre's production of Kiss Me, Kate, which begins performances next Friday, April 6.

This spring The 5th Avenue Theatre will stage Kiss Me, Kate, the Cole Porter musical inspired by William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew. Kiss Me, Kate will be directed by Alan Paul and choreographed by Michele Lynch, who both worked on a previous production of the show at Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, D.C. in the fall of 2015.

 The Hawai'i Symphony Orchestra will present a free concert at the Blaisdell Concert Hall on Wednesday, December 7 at 7:30 pm. This performance is not only intended to remember those who served and died in the attack, but to salute the remaining survivors and all who have served in the armed forces. Maestro Rob Fisher, Tony and Grammy-recognized for his work with the New York Philharmonic and the New York Shakespeare Festival will lead the HSO in a patriotic program that includes Copland's "Fanfare for the Common Man" and John Williams' "Hymn to the Fallen" from the film Saving Private Ryan.
