The full cast for The 5th Avenue Theatre's spectacular new production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which stars Deaf actorJoshua Castille as Quasimodo, has been announced. Castille will use American Sign Language (ASL) throughout his performance, bringing new life and perspective to Quasimodo, who is deaf in the novel by Victor Hugo.

Producers John Lant and Tamra Pica with Write Act Repertory are pleased to present the West Coast premiere of Elise Arndt's award-winning one-woman show SING BIBI SING! The Untold Tales of Bibi Osterwald. Opening at Write Act Repertory's home, the Brickhouse Theatre, in North Hollywood on March 30th, at 8 p.m. for seven performances, after a sold out run in New York. The musical is written by and stars Elise Arndt, the granddaughter of the late Bibi Osterwald. The show is directed by Christine O'Grady, (HAIR, tick, tick…BOOM!), with musical direction by Doug Peck and The Doug Peck Trio. (Winner: six Joseph Jefferson Awards for his musical direction, two After Dark Awards, The Guy Adkins Award, and the Sarah Siddons Award). Tickets will go on sale next week with Brown Paper Tickets.

The Muny announced today that Grammy Award-winner Nathan Lee Graham will play the title role in The Wiz. Starring alongside Graham will be Jared Grimes as Scarecrow, Mykal Kilgore as Lion and James T. Lane as Tinman. In its first Muny staging in 36 years, The Wiz is the second production of the historic outdoor theatre's centennial season. The Wiz is directed by Denis Jones and choreographed by Camille A. Brown with music direction by Darryl Archibald. The Wiz is proudly sponsored by Wells Fargo Advisors.

Academy Award and Golden Globe winning performer George Chakiris and acclaimed dancer, Barrie Chase have been named the honorees for the Professional Dancers Society's (PDS) annual Gypsy Awards Luncheon, it was announced by PDS President, Mitzi Gaynor and PDS Board Chairman, Joni Berry.  Emmy and Grammy nominated choreographer/director/singer Toni Basil will receive the organization's Choreographer's Award.  PDS' 31st Anniversary Luncheon will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel (9876 Wilshire Blvd.) in Beverly Hills, CA.

Producer Mark Cortale has announced that his internationally acclaimed concert series will bring two of Broadway's leading ladies to Nantucket, Massachusetts' Dreamland Theater this summer with Broadway @ Dreamland. Christine Ebersole, a two-time Tony Award winner for "Grey Gardens" and "42nd Street" and star of Oscar-winning films such as "Amadeus" and "Tootsie," will perform on Monday, July 23 at 7:30 PM. Megan Hilty, breakout star of NBC TV's "Smash" and Broadway's "Wicked" and a Tony nominee for the recent Broadway production of "Noises Off", will join the series on Wednesday, August 8 at 7:30 PM. Seth Rudetsky, the Sirius XM radio star who the New York Times called "The Mayor of Broadway," joins both performances as pianist and host. Goodspeed Musicals is thrilled to announce three enticing productions planned for Chester, Conn. in 2018. First will be the inspiring You Are Here by Drama Desk Award nominees Bartram and Hill. This soaring musical will run May 18 - June 10. Next up will be a new musical adaptation of the enduring love story Cyrano. This exciting new take on the classic will be adapted by Erica Schmidt in collaboration with the indie band The National. Cyrano will run August 3 - September 2. Finally, A Connecticut Christmas Carol, a musical adaptation of the Dickens holiday classic spiced with the flavor of the Nutmeg State, returns to The Terris Theatre November 30 - December 30, 2018.

Award-winning Broadway star Sierra Boggess returns Saturday, February 10 to the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) stage for a single night of show-stopping music from Hollywood and the Broadway stage. John Devlin serves as the evening's conductor and host. Ms. Boggess performs songs from West Side Story, The Little Mermaid, The Wizard of Oz, Pocahontas, The Sound of Music, Phantom of the Opera, and much more! Under the direction of Mr. Devlin, the orchestra plays music from Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl and musical gems from iconic Broadway shows. The concert takes place at 8pm at Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall on the campus of Princeton University.

Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director, Todd Schmidt-Managing Director), recipient of the 2016 Regional Theatre Tony Award, has announced today Harry Connick, Jr. will star as Henry Gondorff in the world-premiere production of The Sting.  The musical is based on the 1973 film, and will have its world premiere at Paper Mill Playhouse for a limited run from March 29 through April 29, 2018, with book by Bob Martin, music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann &Greg Kotis with Harry Connick, Jr.  In addition, the score will contain music by Scott Joplin including 'The Entertainer.'

Actors' Equity Association has announced that Equity's National Council has voted to retire the name 'Gypsy Robe' -- the name for the ritual that occurs on the stage of every Broadway musical with a chorus on opening night before the audience is admitted. While the name will change, the tradition will continue next season unchanged.
