Belgian director Jan Fabre's monumental masterpiece, Mount Olympus: To glorify the cult of tragedy (a 24-hour performance), will have its North American premiere with a one-day-only performance at NYU Skirball from Saturday, November 10 at 5pm through Sunday, November 11 at 5 pm. This is the only chance for U.S. audiences to experience Mount Olympus - there are no other performances scheduled this year.

After a successful run in Central Park, playing to over 4,000 people, performances resume on Wednesday, June 27 in Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City for New York Classical Theatre's critically acclaimed production of Romeo and Juliet, directed by the company's Founding Artistic Director Stephen Burdman. The production will play this week through June 30, before continuing on to The Battery, Carl Schurz Park, and Brooklyn Bridge Park for performances through July 29. Marking the first co-production of original content since Chicken Soup for the Soul acquired a majority ownership stake in Ashton Kutcher's APlus.com last year, the two companies have come together to produce a powerful new documentary digital series called “The New Americans.”

The Orchestra Now (TON), the visionary orchestra and master's degree program founded in 2015 by Bard College president and conductor, educator, and music historian Leon Botstein, will open its fourth season on September 15, 2018. Five individual series and two special events will present 17 different programs offering innovative combinations of familiar and lesser-known repertoire through May 19, 2019. To date, the young members of TON have performed close to 100 concerts for more than 35,000 New Yorkers.

Lewis & Tolkien: Of Wardrobes and Rings, written by and featuring David Payne and directed by Marc Whitmore,will make its New York debut at the Black Box Theater at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture. Performances began on May 23 with opening night scheduled for May 31, the engagement runs throughJune 14.

New York Classical Theatre (Stephen Burdman, Artistic Director), New York City's only all-free professional Off-Broadway theatre company, is pleased to announce a new production of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to celebrate its 19th Anniversary Season. The production, directed by Mr. Burdman, is the company's first staging of Shakespeare's tale of star-crossed lovers, and will be presented in five New York City parks - Central Park, Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City, The Battery, Carl Schurz Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park - with performances from June 5 through July 29 at 7:00 PM. There is no ticketing, and all performances are free and open to the public. New York Classical Theatre also invites audiences to experience unique behind-the-scenes access to open rehearsals on selected dates for each of the five park stagings. 

On Monday, May 14, 2018, Third Street Music School Settlement (Third Street), the nation's longest running community school, will honor Grammy Award-winning Singer and Songwriter Rosanne Cash, Tony and Oscar Award-winner Joel Grey, and long-time Board Member and Award-winning Architect Byron Bell at its Annual Spring Gala. The Seeing Theater's eighth Season has focused on bringing together stories that challenge the ways in which we relate to our fellow man. The season concludes with a triple-header: THE PEOPLE VS ANTIGONE, a world premiere adaptation by Brandon Walker, running in rep with two searing one-person shows: I AM MY OWN WIFE, the Tony Award winning play by Doug Wright and MY NAME IS RACHEL CORRIE by Katharine Viner and Alan Rickman from the writings of Rachel Corrie.

Due to demand, The New Group has announced a three-week extension for Jerry Springer - The Opera, with Matt McGrath appearing as Jerry Springer beginning March 13.  Terrence Mann, currently appearing in the role of Jerry Springer, plays his final performance March 11 due to an existing commitment beyond that date.

Drag Sensation Lady Bunny, Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh, and poet Caridad de la Luz / La Bruja will make special guest appearances in RIOT, the award-winning Irish theatrical extravaganza having its American premiere at NYU Skirball, February 15 - 17 at 7:30 pm.
