This romantic musical is filled with passion, love and loss across three generations of a family and their companions, and is set against the background of 1940's France and Italy. Alex Dillingham, a young student traveling through France, falls in love with the alluring actress Rose Vibert. As the pair embark on a passionate affair, the unexpected arrival of Alex's uncle changes their lives forever. This is a love story spanning twenty years binding six people and three generations as they come to appreciate that "love changes everything." Scarsdale Ballet Studio, recognized regionally for providing students with a quality ballet curriculum, will present a brand-new production of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, choreographed by New York City Ballet's Diana White, Broadway's Marcus Galante, and contributions of the faculty, for two shows only on December 18 at the Purchase Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. In keeping true to the timeless tale of The Nutcracker, audiences will enjoy the rich legacy of a classical work that is a postcard to the holiday season, celebrating with magic, whirling snowflakes and dancing treats from the Sugar Plum Fairy's Land of the Sweets.

The opening night festivities are distinguished by San Francisco Opera Guild's glamorous Opera Ball 2016: La Revolution et L'Amour and BRAVO! Club's Annual Opening Night Gala. The opening of the Company's 94th season also marks the beginning of Matthew Shilvock's inaugural season as General Director. Shilvock is the seventh General Director in the Company's history.

Fulton of the Anderson & Bert Cade Fulton Foundation. Joint efforts result in the mounting of August Wilson's Tony nominated Two Trains Running directed by Sabura Rashid as its upcoming offering starting August 26th 2016. The production of 'Two Trains Running' will be featured at Fulton Park in Brooklyn on Aug. 26 from 6 to 9 p.m., and Aug. 27 at Herbert Von King Park from 4 to 7p.m. Both performances are FREE. August in August actually began Aug. 13 with the first installation of the series 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom performed at Fulton Park in Brooklyn, produced by the Bed-Stuy Theatre Group.

Cabrillo Music Theatre Announces Staff & Board Additions for 2016/17

After a relaunch of the company, Cabrillo Music Theatre's Board of Directors proudly announces new staff and board leadership, and a relaunched 2016-2017 season of shows.   The new season features three Cabrillo shows, all in the 1800-seat Kavli Theatre, with two Cabrillo debuts and one classic favorite not seen in nearly 15 years.  All of Cabrillo's productions are locally produced, auditioned and rehearsed in Southern California, and performed exclusively at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

San Francisco Opera Announces 2016-17 Season

San Francisco Opera General Director David Gockley and Music Director Nicola Luisotti today announced the Company's 2016–17 Season repertory and roster of international guest artists, conductors and creative teams scheduled to appear at the War Memorial Opera House, as well as initial programming for SF Opera Lab 2017 presentations at the Diane B. Wilsey Center for Opera's Taube Atrium Theater. The Company's 94th Season will also mark Matthew Shilvock's inaugural year as San Francisco Opera's new general director, succeeding his mentor and internationally respected impresario, David Gockley, who will step down on July 31, 2016.
