Triple Grammy Award winner Debby Boone will appear at the Welk Resort in Escondido from June 22 to 25. In 1977 she skyrocketed to fame with 'You Light Up My Life' and has never stopped recording since. In the 80s it was gospel and Broadway into the 90s and more recently Reflections of Rosemary, a CD that honors her late mother-in-law all time great singer Rosemary Clooney. Gretna Theatre is excited to present Academy Award winner Shirley Jones for one performance only on May 21, 2011 as its season kick-off event. 'Jones' one woman show, 'An Evening of Stories and Songs' will be a ‘stellar' beginning to the season,' said Gretna Theatre's producing artistic director Larry Frenock. 'We were fortunate to meet Ms. Jones when we attended her performance at the legendary Feinstein's night club while conducting our season auditions in New York City in March,' said Frenock. 'I asked if she might consider helping us with this fundraising event at Gretna Theatre and she accepted!'

A grand gala evening celebrating the legacy of late actor and comedian Bob Hope and honoring decades of support by Interpublic Group, the event begins at 7:00 PM with a concert at Carnegie Hall featuring a special lineup of concert artists, followed by a black tie dinner and dance held at the luxurious Plaza Hotel.

Following the opening of Terence Rattigan's Flare Path, the Theatre Royal Haymarket Company today (1 April 2011) announce a further two productions to be directed by Trevor Nunn in his role as Artistic Director. After a three week run at the Chichester Festival Theatre, Nunn's production of Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead comes to the Theatre Royal Haymarket in June, followed in September by William Shakespeare's The Tempest. According to the NY Tmes, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Washington National Opera will merge this July. The financially troubled National Opera will still have its own board and receive its own donations, but all other funds will be merged with the Kennedy Center's.

Serino Coyne, the Broadway advertising agency, and Art Meets Commerce, a leading provider of digital services to the Broadway community, have announced their groundbreaking merger. Both companies are subsidiaries of the advertising giant, Omnicom Group.
