Producer John Breglio and the Apollo Theater Foundation, Inc. will bring Broadway uptown for four weeks only with Dreamgirls at the Apollo Theater, prior to the national tour of the new production of the groundbreaking musical. The national tour of Dreamgirls will kick-off at Harlem's legendary Apollo Theater (253 West 125 Street) beginning previews Saturday, November 7, 2009, and opening Sunday, November 22, 2009, for 4 weeks only, through Sunday December, 6, 2009.

Today, John McGrath, Artistic Director of National Theatre Wales announced the company's first year of work at a press briefing in Cardiff that was simultaneously broadcast to the world via the internet.

Through the generous support of the Target Foundation, Performance Network's production of CHRISTMAS CAROL'D will feature the Target Family Holiday Series, a program offering $40 Family Packages for Saturday matinee performances. One of the main focuses of the Target Foundation's work is to make art and culture accessible and affordable to the community. CHRISTMAS CAROL'D runs November 19 though December 27, 2009.

Circle Theatre, a professional theatre located in Sundance Square, presents the world premiere of A Lone Star Christmas Carol by Gary Moody & Gary Taylor. Preview performances for the show are Thursday, November 19; Friday, November 20; and Saturday, November 21 (matinee). Some of the songs will be familiar, some less so, a few were even cut from their original musical scores, but they are all sophisticated, smart and drop-dead droll. All, in other words, Sondheim.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is proud to have Stephen Sondheim & James Lapine return to Studio 54 with Sondheim on Sondheim, a new original Broadway musical starring Barbara Cook, Vanessa Williams, Michael Arden & Leslie Kritzer. Music & lyrics are by Stephen Sondheim, conceived & directed by James Lapine. Sondheim on Sondheim will begin previews on March 19th, 2010 and open officially April 22nd, 2010 at Studio 54 on Broadway (254 West 54th Street).
