The Tony Award®-winning Signature Theatre, nationally known for its interpretation of Stephen Sondheim musicals, celebrates its 20th anniversary season by presenting Sondheim's most popular musical SWEENEY TODD, directed by Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer. The new production runs in the 276-seat MAX Theater, February 9 through April 4, 2010.
The Guthrie has announced that its 35th annual production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol will receive a new adaptation by Barbara Field, with Gary Gisselman directing the Twin Cities holiday classic for the ninth consecutive season and legendary stage and screen actorPeter Michael Goetz returning to play Ebenezer Scrooge.
Through the generous support of the Target Foundation, Performance Network's production of CHRISTMAS CAROL'D will feature the Target Family Holiday Series, a program offering $40 Family Packages for Saturday matinee performances. One of the main focuses of the Target Foundation's work is to make art
and culture accessible and affordable to the community. CHRISTMAS CAROL'D runs November 19 though December 27, 2009.
Lucky patrons who purchase tickets for Performance Network Theatre's December 24th performance of Joseph Zettelmaier's CHRISTMAS CAROL'D will be treated to goodies and cheer following the show.
Due to popular demand, Performance Network Theatre has added an additional performance of CHRISTMAS CAROL'D on Wednesday, December 23rd at 8pm. Through the support of the Target Foundation, this performance will feature $40 Family Packages.
Learn the creative process and get a glimpse behind the scenes of Performance Network Theatre's production of Joseph Zettelmaier's CHRISTMAS CAROL'D, an adaptation of Charles Dickens' holiday classic. The Behind the Scenes event will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 4:15pm, following the 2pm matinee performance.
Circle Theatre, a professional theatre located in Sundance Square, presents the world premiere of A Lone Star Christmas Carol by Gary Moody & Gary Taylor. Preview performances for the show are Thursday, November 19; Friday, November 20; and Saturday, November 21 (matinee). The production will officially open Saturday evening, November 21 at 8:00pm, followed by a post-show party with the cast & crew.

As part of the San Francisco Mime Troupe 50th Anniversary Exhibition Birthday Bash at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, the Mime Troupe will revive GHOSTS, seen only once at the December 1981 opening of the Moscone Center, adjacent to Yerba Buena. The revival features several members of the original cast, including Arthur Holden, Dan Chumley, and Lonnie Ford in their 1981 roles, and will be followed by music, and anniversary toasts and roasts. The evening begins at 7:30pm, Thursday, December 10 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Forum, and is free and open to the public.

The Copperstate Dinner Theater, the Valley's oldest dinner theater, has found a new home with Arizona Broadway Theatre, the Valley's newest dinner theatre. Copperstate will present the world premiere of Country Jukebox, the world's most unique musical revue, in ABT's Encore Room.

Producer John Breglio and the Apollo Theater Foundation, Inc. will bring Broadway uptown for four weeks only with Dreamgirls at the Apollo Theater, prior to the national tour of the new production of the groundbreaking musical. Peter Hall's production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM will star Dame Judi Dench, Charles Edwards and more. Dench will play the role of Titania with Edwards taking the role of Oberon.
