The Bay Area Children's Theatre (BACT) opens a special limited engagement of the whimsical musical, A Year With Frog and Toad, Saturday, September 3, at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre (Peet's Theatre), 2025 Addison Street, Berkeley, CA 94703. Meet Your New Principal: Jenn Gambatese Joins SCHOOL OF ROCK

Jenn Gambatese has been tapped to join the cast of SCHOOL OF ROCK on Broadway, succeeding Sierra Boggess in the role of Rosalie Mullins after Boggess plays her last performance on August 9th, 2016. No stranger to the stage, Gambatese has originated the Broadway roles of Jane in Tarzan and Natalie in All Shook Up, played Glinda in the first national tour of Wicked, and was also on Broadway in: Hairspray, Is He Dead?, A Year with Frog and Toad, and made her B'way debut in Footloose.

Shows are opening (Carolyn German unveils her latest, Go From Here, and Nashville Ballet revives Carmina Burana, both this weekend), shows are closing (your last chance to catch The Taffetas at Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre before they go the way of The Plaids is this weekend) and The Miss Firecracker Contest is back onstage at Donelson's Larry Keeton Theatre for the second of three weekends. Obviously, the 2016 theater season continues to reveal itself at a breakneck pace, giving audiences a veritable buffet of offerings from which to choose.
