As BroadwayWorld reported over the weekend, Anne Meara passed away on Saturday. She was 85. Meara appeared in five Broadway shows and was Tony-nominated for her performance as Marthy Owen in ANNA CHRISTIE in 1992, opposite Liam Neeson and Natasha Richardson.

Having just finished a recorded-breaking run on Broadway, Scott Ellis' acclaimed production of The Elephant Man will transfer to London with the US cast starring Bradley Cooper, Patricia Clarkson and Alessandro Nivola this spring. The production is now confirmed to play a strictly limited season at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from tonight, May 19th until August 8th.

Museum of the Moving Image and the Future of StoryTelling announced today Sensory Stories, an exhibition that reveals how an emerging group of artists and companies are using innovative digital techniques to change the way audiences experience storytelling. The Joyce Theater Foundation, Linda Shelton Executive Director, proudly presents the U.S. debut of Le Centre National de Danse Contemporaine-Angers (CNDC) from March 10 - 15. For this highly anticipated debut, CNDC, under the artistic direction of former Merce Cunningham dancer and prote?ge? Robert Swinston, will perform Event, a compilation of excerpts from pieces choreographed by Cunningham from 1965-1990.
