According to the New York Times, Oscar winner Tilda Swinton is currently collaborating with director Luca Guadagnino to create a film a remake of 'Auntie Mame.' Swinton woud play the title role in the movie.

Turner Classic Movies has named Angela Lansbury its Star of the Month. Wednesdays throughout January will be devoted to the star, featuring some of her many film roles during primetime and into the early morning hours.

Feinstein's at Loews Regency continues its Fall 2011 season with the return engagement of Grammy Award nominated singer and entertainer Marilyn Maye. Her new show, 'The Best Of Times Is Now!' - which honors the legendary Broadway composer Jerry Herman on this 80th Birthday year - features songs from his shows including Mame, Mack and Mabel, Hello, Dolly! and Milk and Honey. Marilyn starred in Hello, Dolly! many times and recorded a CD of all the songs from the Tony Award winning score. Her recent local appearances have been received with rave reviews and full houses. As reported by Showbiz Tonight, 'Lady Gaga has just gotten a major shoutout from an acting legend. 85-year-old Angela Lansbury has just revealed to Showbiz Tonight, she wants Gaga to bring it to Broadway and play Mame, one of the stage's most over-the-top eccentrics. Lansbury, who won a Tony for originating the role in 1966, tells us Gaga could pull it off, more or less.' Lansbury herself went on to say that: 'She could sure wear the clothes, that's for sure...everything's possible.'

It's a master class in singing conducted by a polished pro who majored in unforgettable.' In addition to performing jazz and pop standards from the American Songbook composers, Marilyn will be adding her creative touch to songs by her favorite contemporary songwriters including Peter Allen, James Taylor, Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.
