It's no secret to anyone that the shows we see on Broadway right now are constantly evolving and changing more than ever before, with even more movies and TV shows being turned into Broadway musicals and plays thus becoming major hits. However, there is another end to this evolution.

Each reading will include voter registration and many also include a panel discussion. Pear Slices is like a box of chocolates - there's something for everyone's taste! Each spring Pear Theatre patrons gather at Mountain View's intimate theatre company for this collection of original, short plays from the members of the Pear Playwrights Guild. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced today that Chef Jacques Pépin will receive the Emmy® Award for Lifetime Achievement at the 46th Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy® Awards ceremonies on May 3, 2019 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California. Judge Sheindlin is the first of her genre – for courtroom or legal programming — to be so recognized for her career-long contributions to the television industry. Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird has been much in the news of late, what with a brand spanking new Broadway production (written by Aaron Sorkin and which opened this past December) and reports of dozens of productions around the world of the stage adaptation written by Christopher Sergel being shuttered due to threats of legal action from Scott Rudin, producer of the new Broadway version, and attorneys for the Harper Lee estate.

Agatha Christie, the 'Queen of Crime,' was a British writer of murder mysteries, noted for creating plays, books and short stories. They not only contained intriguing plot twists, which centered on scandalous murders, elaborate twists and turns, but revealed basic 'truths' that are not what they seem.

Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland's Classic Company, commences the second half its 2018-19 season with Agatha Christie's gripping courtroom thriller, Witness for the Prosecution. The production will be performed in the company's intimate and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, February 15 - March 10, 2019.Great Lakes Theater's own Producing Artistic Director, Charles Fee, directs the production.
