Previews begin tonight, Tuesday April 10, at the Curran theatre (445 Geary Street) for Head Over Heels, the new musical comedy featuring the iconic songs of The Go-Go's- the most successful female rock band of all time.

Today, Carole Shorenstein Hays announced that single tickets are now available for SOFT POWER, the play featuring a musical by David Henry Hwang (play and lyrics) and Jeanine Tesori (music and additional lyrics). SOFT POWER will make its Bay Area premiere at San Francisco's Curran (445 Geary Street) June 20 - July 8, 2018. SOFT POWER is a Center Theatre Group co-commission with The Public Theater and will perform at the Curran following its world premiere at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles

San Francisco's Curran theater will welcome Broadway legend Patti LuPone on Wednesday, June 13, as part of the popular SHOW & TELL series, which features provocative, topical and entertaining one-night-only events. The engagement has been rescheduled from its original date of Friday, June 1. From the White House to the Great White Way, SHOW & TELL's all-star lineup also features some of the theater's most celebrated artists, from Former FBI Director James Comey (Monday, April 23) and former White House photographer Pete Souza (Thursday, May 10) to the writers and creative minds behind SOFT POWER, David Henry Hwang and Jeanine Tesori (Thursday, May 17). Additional SHOW & TELL events include heralded award-winning playwright and actress, recently of "Black Panther" fame, Danai Gurira and Tony Award-winning director George C.  On the heels of announcing that Steven Tyler's documentary OUT ON A LIMB would open the 49th Annual Nashville Film Festival, the festival continued its lineup of major talent participation with today's announcement of the Music Films/Music City Selections for the 2018 Festival (May 10-19, 2018). CHILDREN OF BLOOD AND BONE is one of my favorite books of 2018, and I expect to still feel that way at the end of the year. Out today, this book has been highly-coveted since the very beginning. There was a massive pre-empt deal from Macmillan for this debut, which netted author Tomi Adeyemi a seven-figure deal that included movie rights--and she's only twenty-three years old. The buzz around this novel has set the book world on fire, and it's all well-deserved. I've been waiting to get my hands on this book for a long time, first when I saw the deal announcement and heard how awesome it sounded, and then again when I saw its beautiful cover. Now I've read it and am already eager to read it again, as well as get my hands on the beautiful finished copy. (A true collector, I plan to own the Barnes and Noble Exclusive Edition.)

The 2018 Dance-mopolitan Artist Series, produced by DANCE NOW, presents Megan Williams Dance Projects in ONE WOMAN SHOW, a post-postmodern dance theater follies for the small stage. Megan Williams finds the roots of her aesthetic DNA in the proto-feminist female archetypes of 30s, 40s and 50s Hollywood and uses them as a lens to view the experience of the 21st-century woman-of a-certain-age. Part memoir, part spectacle, ONE WOMAN SHOW aims to grab the moment and hold on tight. The work features celebrated dance artists Esme Boyce, Robert Mark Burke, Derek Crescenti, Dylan Crossman, John Eirich, Kristen Foote, Chelsea Hecht, Courtney Lopes, and Megan Williams. With costume design by Barbara Erin Delo and sound design by Sam Crawford.

Rehearsals began this week for Head Over Heels, the new musical comedy featuring the iconic songs of The Go-Go's - the most successful female rock band of all time. Prior to its Broadway bow,Head Over Heels will play a limited engagement at San Francisco's Curran theater from April 10, 2018 through May 6, 2018 (opening night is Wednesday, April 18).

The first episode of the ten part series, produced in partnership with MAC Cosmetics, will be released on Tuesday, March 13th, 2018. The unscripted series follows three Instagram influencers as they learn what it takes to be a drag superstar. Guided by a MAC pro artist and their “Drag Mother”, each participant tucks, plucks and struts their way to discovering the glamorous queen inside each of them.

The Renaissance City Theatre, Inc. (RCTI) announces the exciting and new 18th Season of the Granite Theatre. Southern Rhode Island's only year-round theatre is within walking distance of some of the region's finest dining as well as a beautiful stretch of beaches and popular resorts. The Theatre is in a beautifully refurbished Greek Revival building located in the heart of historic downtown Westerly.

Broadway Dreams is expanding its international programming to include Rust, Germany with a seven-day musical theatre intensive at Europa-Park, September 1 through 7, 2018. Located in southwestern Germany, Europa-Park is the largest theme park resort in the country. Tuition has been greatly subsidized for all students who participate in the inaugural German program due to generous sponsorships.

The Catastrophic Theatre continues its 2017-2018 season with the rolling world premiere of Leap and the Net Will Appear by Chana Porter, who two-time Obie Award-winning playwright and director Craig Lucas has called 'the most original and funny and touching and interesting young playwright out there at this moment.' The production will be directed by Porter's collaborator, NYC director Tara Ahmadinejad, and features original music by composer Andrew Lynch.
