Following a sensational summer season in 2016, the international masterminds behind Blanc de Blanc, Cantina and the Helpmann Award-nominated Limbo Unhinged will bring their brand-new, high-end cabaret spectacle Blanc de Blanc Encore to the Sydney Opera House Studio from January 4, 2019.

“Wherever You Sleep,” the latest single from rising LA-based band Bay Ledges—led by singer, songwriter and producer Zach Hurd—debuts today. The Wild Honey Pie hails, “With a psychedelic disco feel singer, songwriter and producer Zach Hurd creates a track that will get you moving.” The song will be part of the band's forthcoming EP, coming in November. This season, the acclaimed men's vocal ensemble Cantus presents Alone Together, a program featuring a new commission by Libby Larsen exploring the struggle to build meaningful connections in a world that has never been more connected. Cantus will perform this program on tour in 2018-19 in three dozen cities throughout North America. The ensemble will also present their innovative take on an age-old Christmas tradition, called Lessons and Carols for our Time, during the Holiday season. Additionally, the ensemble will collaborate with the women's vocal ensemble Lorelei in a one-night-only performance event at the Ordway in St. Paul Minnesota to be broadcast on Minnesota Public Radio.

Boston Playwrights' Theatre (BPT) today announces the new plays that will comprise its 37th season. The line-up includes The Tragic Ecstasy of Girlhood by Kira Rockwell, Winter People by Laura Neill, Wynwood by Alexis Scheer and Dead House by Beirut Balutis.

Analogue, digital, acoustic and synthetic sonorities seamlessly intermingle in this luminous collaboration between Atlanta-based duo vocalist/composer Hanna Benn (Son Lux, Boots) and percussionist/composer/producer Deantoni Parks (John Cale, Sade, T Bone Burnett, Flying Lotus). Procession explores the spiritual and emotional core of ceremonial music in the form of a song cycle, with new arrangements by Benn featuring her ethereal vocal textures elevated by electronic flourishes, and anchored by Park's ceaselessly kinetic rhythms alongside an SPCO string quintet of Maureen Nelson, Nick Tavani, David Auerbach, Rebecca Merblum and Zachary Cohen. This world premiere for chamber ensemble marks the Twin Cities debut of Benn and Parks as a duo. Join us to step into this truly numinous sanctum of sound.

The Royal Shakespeare Company has announced new child casting for the Matilda The Musical UK and Ireland Tour with Sophia Ally and Scarlett Cecil joining Annalise Bradbury and Nicola Turner in sharing the title role of Matilda from 29 August. The West End production will continue to play at the Cambridge Theatre, where it is now in its seventh year and is booking until 20 October 2019.

The Royal Shakespeare Company's Matilda The Musical has announced new casting with Hayden Tee playing Miss Trunchbull alongside Rob Compton and Holly Dale Spencer as Mr and Mrs Wormwood. Gina Beck will continue to play Miss Honey, having joined the company in September 2017. Isobel Hubble and Francesca McKeown will join Sarah Munday and Olivia Wells in sharing the title role of Matilda. The multi award-winning production is currently playing its seventh year in the West End and is booking until 20 October 2019.

Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres Robert Hastie today announces the full cast for the world premiere of Chris Bush's Steel, and his major new revival of William Shakespeare's classic A Midsummer Night's Dream.

On The Quays, a New York City based production company aimed at producing works that promote inclusivity, has announced it will present the world premiere production of Gary Duggan's STOP/OVER, a swift new play about rekindled friendship, as part of the 2018 Dublin Fringe Festival. Directed by Nicola Murphy, and supported by The Arts Council of Ireland,FringeLab, and The Lir Academy, The Production will run September 12th-23rd on the third floor of The Chocolate Factory (26 Kings Inn Street).

Trumpet icon Herb Alpert and Grammy Award-winning vocalist/producer Lani Hall return to Cafe Carlyle performing new and classic songs, October 9-13. Lani Hall started her career as the lead singer of Sergio Mendes' breakthrough group, Brasil 66. Herb Alpert's legendary career includes five decades of unprecedented breakthroughs as a musician, painter, sculptor, and record executive and philanthropist. A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Herb Alpert has sold over 72 million albums worldwide.

More artists have been announced to perform at the Chillin' on the Lucie music festival in Port St. Lucie, Fla., Oct. 3 - 7. Uncle Kracker has joined the roster, as well as Cassadee Pope, Parmalee, Josh Gracin, Clare Dunn, Kalie Shorr, Hudson Moore and Lewis Brice. Twang and Round, Radio Romance, Julia Cole, Honey County, County Wide and Libby Switzer are also set to perform.
