NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution announced today it has sold the hit daytime show “Steve Harvey” through 2016 to station groups across the country, including the NBC Owned Television Stations.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Matthews, 67, has signed a new long-term deal to remain with the network through the next presidential election. Under his the new contract, the long-time news commentator will officially retire from his Syndicated Sunday show THE CHRIS MATTHEWS SHOW this summer. The final episode is set to air on July 21.
