You've never seen Austen like this! BEDLAM's rollicking adaptation follows the adventures (and misadventures) of the Dashwood sisters - sensible Elinor and hypersensitive Marianne - after their sudden loss of fortune. Bursting with humor, emotion, and bold theatricality, SENSE & SENSIBILITY asks: when reputation is everything, how do you follow your heart?

Four years sober, McDermott has won a hard-fought battle with addiction and released his latest album, Out from Under. Michael McDermott's brand of rock n' roll brims with the kind of well-honed style and wisdom that can only come from a career on the road and a pedigree in the studio. Effortlessly blending natural folk sensibility, pop hooks, and honest rock, McDermott's music is as much for the outcast as the congregation. McDermott tours year-round and has announced his summer touring schedule (details below).

The Julian Lage Trio Come To The Fox Theatre
by Stephi Wild - May 1, 2018

On Modern Lore, Julian Lage's second studio recording with his trio, the composer and guitarist focuses on the groove, building his melodies and solos around the work of the prodigious rhythm section of double bassist Scott Colley and drummer Kenny Wollesen. Modern Lore finds Lage playfully flipping the script he followed on his acclaimed 2016 Mack Avenue debut, Arclight. That album -- produced, like Modern Lore, by Lage's friend and collaborator, the singer-songwriter Jesse Harris -- was his first trio set on electric guitar and found Lage inspired by the sounds and the attitude of the freewheeling, pre-bebop jazz era, when, as he puts it, 'country music and jazz and swing were in this weird wild-west period.' This time he incorporates the sensibility, if not the outright sound, of early rock and roll, a similarly hybrid form driven by rhythm, personality and a passion for the electric guitar.
