Roundabout Theatre Company, in association with Universal Stage Productions, has announced the Broadway production of HOLIDAY INN, THE NEW IRVING BERLIN MUSICAL is now extended by two weeks through January 15, 2017.

You might not know of Gordon Greenberg yet, but that's all about to change. The writer, director and renaissance man has spent years making his mark in off Broadway, West End and regional theatre, working with top-notch performers and creators all around the world.

In 1935, on the set of the movie musical, Top Hat, composer Irving Berlin hummed a then unfamiliar tune to the film's star, Fred Astaire. He had envisioned the song as a centerpiece for a future film starring Astaire and his dance partner, Ginger Rogers. At the time, Berlin was in the midst of a project writing songs for each of the major holidays of the year, but based on his Jewish upbringing, the composer found that Christmas was the most difficult holiday to write for. Nevertheless, the legendary composer rose to the challenge and gave us what is now one of the most popular holiday songs in history, 'White Christmas.'

Holiday Inn, The New Irving Berlin Musical tells the story of Jim, who leaves the bright lights of show business behind to settle down on his farmhouse in Connecticut... but life just isn't the same without a bit of song and dance. Jim's luck takes a spectacular turn when he meets Linda, a spirited schoolteacher with talent to spare. Together they turn The Farmhouse into a fabulous inn with sensational performances to celebrate each holiday, from Thanksgiving to the Fourth of July.  When it comes down to it though, which holiday is best? This Thursday's show included a performance by the Broadway-bound cast of Holiday Inn. Cast members for the event included,  Corbin Bleu, Lora Lee Gayer, Megan Lawrence and Bryce Pinkham performing the numbers, 'Cheek to Cheek', 'Shaking the Blues Away', and 'Blue Skies.'
