This co-production with Watford Palace Theatre and Stratford Circus Arts Centre is directed by Jeffery Kissoon and will tour from September 2016. The eight-venue consortium's previous productions include Macbeth, She Called Me Mother and The Diary of a Hounslow Girl.
Marin Theatre Company closes its 49th Season with Ayad Akhtar's The Invisible Hand. The play had its world premiere at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis in March 2012, and was nominated for the Steinberg/ACTA Best New Play Award that same year. The play was produced at ACT Theatre in Seattle in September 2014, and opened Off-Broadway at the New York Theater Workshop on December 7, 2014. In association with ACT Theatre, Artists Repertory Theatre in Portland presented the play in March 2015. It received both the 2015 Outer Critics Circle Award and the John Gassner Award. Berkeley Rep produced Akhtar's Pulitzer Prize-winning Disgraced this past fall, to great acclaim.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company announced today the 2016/17 Season, the first to be curated by Artistic Director Anna D. Shapiro and the Steppenwolf artistic team. Joining Mel Geidroyc are Natasha Gordon, Martins Imhangbe, Elizabeth Tan and Nigel Whitmey. Natasha Gordon replaces Josette Simon who has had to withdraw from the production for personal reasons. Simon Dormandy, whose recent productions include his own stage adaptation of iconic film The Hudsucker Proxy, will direct, and his Hudsucker collaborator Dick Bird designs.
