Annie Baker has just concluded a highly successful run of her play, Circle Mirror Transformation, at Playwrights Horizons. Her first play, Body Awareness, was produced at the Atlantic Theater Company this past year.

Laurie Anderson, Joan Osborne and Suzanne Vega will unite to perform a one-night-only benefit concert for the Women's Project, the 32-year-old theater company dedicated to producing the work of female theater artists, on International Women's Day, Monday, March 8, at 6:30pm at the Women's Project's home, the 199-seat Julia Miles Theater, 424West 55th Street.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater will conclude its 15th Anniversary season with the world premiere of The Aliens, by Annie Baker (Circle Mirror Transformation, Body Awareness). Directed by Sam Gold (Circle Mirror Transformation, Rag and Bone), performances begin Wednesday, April 14th, 2010. Opening night is Thursday, April 22nd at 7pm. The show is scheduled to run through Sunday, May 23rd, 2010.

The International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood, announced nominations today for its 37th Annual Annie Awards recognizing the year's best animated features, television productions, commercials, short subjects and outstanding individual achievements in the field of animation. Walt Disney Animation Studios' 'The Princess and the Frog' received eight nominations, including Best Animated Feature and individual nominations for animated effects, character animation, production design and voice acting, while its 'Prep and Landing' received nine nominations including Best Animated Television Production and individual nominations for character animation, character design, music, production design, storyboarding and writing.
