Rep Stage, the professional Equity theatre in residence at Howard Community College (HCC), continues its 19th season with William Luce's 'Barrymore,' directed by Steven Carpenter ('Hysteria,' 'Mrs. Farnsworth'). The faded glamour of the 1940s theatre comes to life as Rep Stage favorite and Helen Hayes Award-winning actor Nigel Reed ('Travels With My Aunt,' 'Mrs. Warren's Profession,' 'The Judas Kiss') reunites with the director of 2008's 'Trumbo: Red, White, and Blacklisted' to portray stage legend John Barrymore as he rehearses a comeback performance of his triumphal 'Richard III.' Mr. Reed delivers a comedic yet haunting portrayal of the acclaimed stage and screen actor from the legendary Barrymore family, icons of the American Theatre. 'Barrymore' opens October 26 and runs through November 13, 2011 in the Smith Theatre of the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center (HVPA) on the campus of HCC.

Rebellious Subjects Theatre brings its lively and eclectic classical work to The Tank in May 2011 with a reimagining of Shakespeare's Hamlet. Using both of The Tank's theaters and the areas in and around as their largest playing space yet, the company delves into a modern world of Elsinore where cameras, both hidden and exposed, surround the players, blurring the boundaries of performance and privacy, exploring the nuances of appearance, deception, exploitation, and action within the world of the play. According to published reports, stage and screen star Ethan Hawke and his wife, Ryan, are expecting their second child together. The couple welcomed baby girl Clemintine Jane, to the family in 2008. Hawke also hastwo children, Maya and Levon, with ex-wife Uma Thurman.

The full cast has been announced for this summer's West End revival of Simon Gray's comedy Butley. Alongside Dominic West, star of hit US drama The Wire, who will play the iconic title role of the rapier-tongued lecturer Butley, will be Paul McGann (Withnail and I, Doctor Who), Penny Downie, (RSC's Hamlet, Invictus) and Amanda Drew (ENRON, Eastenders).
