SKID ROW--Johnny Solinger (vocals), Scotti Hill (guitar), Rachel Bolan (bass), Snake Sabo (guitar) and Rob Hammersmith (drums)-will be a long way from home throughout the summer. First, the band is teaming up with Black Star Riders for a brief tour of the west coast, which starts May 8 in Tucson, AZ at the Rialto Theatre. Once that concludes on May 16, the band will play headlining shows across the U.S., including a stop at the legendary Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday, May 17 and an appearance at this year's Rocklahoma festival on May 23 in Pryor, OK. They'll then head to Europe in June for various festivals, including the Download Festival in Donington, England on June 14. Once the U.S. trek concludes in July, SKID ROW will head to Kostrzyn, Poland, where they've been invited to headline one of the biggest festivals in Europe, the Woodstock Festival Poland on July 31.

Roxanne Hoffman, publisher at Poets Wear Prada, announced today publication of 'Funhouse' by poet Efrayim Levenson.
'Funhouse,' written while Levenson listened to the music of guitarist Buckethead, is a three-day journey in a surreal amusement park filled with sea lions, guitars, monsters, crickets, spiders, a guillotine, a human pretzel, more guitars, a traffic jam, drought, grasshoppers, angels, and even more guitars.
The book's production editor, Jack Cooper, said, 'Funhouse' is superb; it reads beautifully, uncovers much that is profound, and remains full of surprise.'

This is Efrayim Levenson's second book project with Poets Wear Prada. In 2007, the Hoboken-based press released 'Dances With Tears,' a walk along a path of spiritual discovery. The book, described as a "blast of Hasidic bebop ecstasy" by Brooklyn poet Craig Fishbane, includes the poem '& Ribbon,' which was nominated for a 2008 Pushcart Prize. Poetrymanz Press released his previous collection, 'For My Relations,' in 2000.

King Lear opens for previews tonight, January 18 and runs through Sunday, February 18.
Signature Theatre is pleased to announce a final one-week extension for THE PIANO LESSON by August Wilson, which has already been named to Best of 2012 lists by The New York Times, The New Yorker and Time Out New York. The production, directed by Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson, was originally scheduled to conclude its run on December 9 and already extended three times through January 13. It will now play through Sunday, January 20. The production opened on Sunday, November 18 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues) to critical praise. Tickets during the extension weeks are $75 each.
