South Coast Repertory will open its 2009-2010 season with a celebration of the music of Broadway legend Stephen Sondheim and will shine the spotlight later in the season on the up-and-coming musical theater composer and lyricist, Adam Gwon. Marks milestone on Broadway with 1,000th performance on December 22, 2005
Because of a last-minute change in his travel schedule, JOHN TARTAGLIA (Avenue Q) will not be appearing in THE MARCY & ZINA SHOW at Birdland tonight. The show, however, will go on as scheduled at 7pm.
Unfortunately, a scheduling conflict has forced singer Max von Essen to cancel his Birdland debut on Monday, March 28. A substitute date will be announced shortly. Songwriters Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich will replace von Essen in the 7pm slot. Their Birdland concert this coming Monday, March 7, is completely sold-out, so disappointed fans will have another chance to see The Marcy & Zina Show.
