New Repertory Theatre announces the extension of My Name is Rachel Corrie. My Name is Rachel Corrie and Pieces, two solo plays, each about a young woman whose coming of age took place within the context of the Israeli/Palestinian situation run in rotating repertory until March 30, 2008. My Name is Rachel Corrie will extend until April 5, 2008. Both shows play at the Arsenal Center for the Arts in Watertown.

THE SEAGULL, featuring a new version by Christopher Hampton and directed by Ian Rickson, opens Wednesday, October 1 at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street). Previews will begin Tuesday, September 16. The production will play a strictly limited engagement of 14 weeks through December 21.

Variety is reporting that powerhouse UK actors Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen will be teaming up to help save the struggling Theatre Royal Haymarket. Rumor has it that the two actors will play the clowns Pozzo and Lucky in Beckett's classic Waiting For Godot. All proceeds will go to benefit the Haymarket.

Casting has been announced for the London production of Jersey Boys, the Tony Award award-winning Broadway musical. The show will open in London's West End at the Prince Edward Theatre on Tuesday March 18, 2008, following previews from February 28, 2008.
