NATIONAL THEATRE LIVE has announced an international broadcast of the National Theatre of Great Britain's production of Euripides' Greek tragedy MEDEA, in a new version by Ben Power, directed by Carrie Cracknell and starring Helen McCrory in the title role. Nigel Redden, director of Lincoln Center Festival today announced the 2014 Festival's line-up, which runs from July 7 through August 16, 2014, with performances by artists and ensembles from 11 countries unfolding in six venues on and off the Lincoln Center campus. With book and lyrics by world-renowned Australian author Thomas Keneally (Schindler's List, the acclaimed book on which the Oscar-winning film is based) and music by Larry Kirwan (founder of the iconic New York City band Black 47), TRANSPORT follows the uneasy ocean voyage of Irish women who were sentenced and then exiled to the relatively uninhabited south coast of Australia in the mid-19th Century. Henry Goodman plys the role of Arthur Winslow in Terence Rattigan's The Winslow Boy, which will open at The Old Vic tonight, 19 March 2013. Directed by Lindsay Posner, Rattigan's compelling play is based on the true story of a father's fight to clear his son's name when he is expelled from Naval College after being convicted of theft.
