Management & production company Thruline Entertainment/Tagline Pictures has formed a strategic alliance with The Second City, the Chicago-based empire whose list of alumni reads like a Who's Who of Comedy. It was announced today that Academy Award winning producer Cathy Schulman ("Crash") will receive an honorary Doctor of Arts degree from Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Dodge College's commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 24, where Schulman will deliver the keynote address.

Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre was originally set to present a re-imagined concert version of Lerner and Loewe's Tony Award-winning musical GIGI this May, but the company has been forced to cancel the production due to internal scheduling conflicts. The musical has been announced for a Broadway opening in 2015.

Following the record-breaking attendance of Festival 2013, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival announces the 2014 Festival schedule. Jacob's Pillow is a National Historic Landmark, home to America's longest-running dance festival, and a recipient of the National Medal of Arts.
