The Apricot Brandy have been playing soul music all around Northwest Connecticut since 1968. Through the years, band members have come and gone, but James "Moon" Maraia and Jim "Schultz" Buonocore play on and are currently joined by Robert Grillo on drums, Allen Gunn on vocals, Greg Dolecki on sax, RJ Avalone on trumpet and Jeff Shea/Joe Bouchard on keyboards.

The producers of Tennessee Whiskey the Musical, are opening up a national talent search to cast the role of the King of Country, George Strait for their upcoming production of Tennessee Whiskey the Musical, the story of Dean Dillon. To kick-off the search, they are launching a virtual audition process where interested performers can post a video singing and playing a George Strait/Dean Dillon song. These videos will be seen by the show's casting team and it could earn them a chance for a callback at one of the show's National auditions taking place in New York, Nashville and Las Vegas in the summer of 2018.*

CBC has reported that two school boards in London, Ontario, Canada have cut funding to their school's production of a musical about a gay student fighting to take his boyfriend to prom. The show is called Prom Queen: The Musical, and it's based on the true story of Marc Hall who in 2002 won his fight with the Durham Catholic School Board to take his boyfriend to prom.

With a glorious voice and stage presence to spare, Potter's Sophie seized control of the opening night audience from the very first moment she stepped onto the stage, never relinquishing control for one second, even when sharing the stage with the redoubtable Martha Wilkinson, the undisputed queen of musical theatre in Music City.
