Last night, December 5, the Roundabout Theatre Company presented a one night only benefit performance of SHE LOVES ME at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. The romantic musical comedy features a book by Joe Masteroff (Cabaret), music by Jerry Bock and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof). The benefit starred Gavin Creel as "Steven Kodaly", Tony Award® winner Jane Krakowski as "Ilona Ritter", three-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara as "Amalia Balas", Josh Radnor as "Georg", Peter Bartlett as "Headwaiter", Tony nominee Michael McGrath as "Ladislav Sipos", Tony nominee Rory O'Malley as "Arpad Laszlo" and four-time Tony nominee Victor Garber as "Mr. Maraczek".

Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel have just announced the design team for the upcoming Broadway revival of Gore Vidal's THE BEST MAN. Tony and Drama Desk Award winning scenic designer DEREK McLANE (33 Variations, Anything Goes), Tony and Drama Desk Award winning lighting designer KENNETH POSNER (The Coast of Utopia, Part 2 - Shipwreck) and five-time Tony Award nominated costume designer ANN ROTH (The Book of Mormon) will design the play about power, ambition, political secrets, ruthlessness and the race for the presidency.

When Mandy Barnett takes to the stage of Nashville's revered Ryman Auditorium for a performance of Ted Swindley's 'musical play,' Always...Patsy Cline, she doesn't so much create a characterization of the legendary country superstar. Rather, she channels her. When Barnett sets foot on that stage, she is Patsy Cline so completely mesmerizing and on-point is her portrayal. Clearly, if anyone was ever born to play Patsy, it's Mandy Barnett, who seemingly has been destined to play Patsy Cline since birth.

Reported first by Variety, he revealed last night while being honored with the Monte Cristo Award at Bridgewaters-South Street Seaport that starring alongside him will be five-time Tony Winner Angela Lansbury making her return to the stage after most recently appearing as Madame Armfeldt in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) will open its 2011 Nutmeg Summer Series with the classic American musical, Guys and Dolls based on Runyon's comic tales of Broadway running June 2-12 in the Harriet S.
