With the world premiere double-bill of Nick Dear's Hogarth's Progress currently playing at Rose Theatre Kingston as part of its 10th anniversary season, the company today announces its Spring 2019 season. This will be the first season presented in the venue's newly reconfigured auditorium, with developments taking place in January 2019 following a capital fundraising programme.

This summer, Belly embark on their first US tour in support of DOVE, their critically acclaimed new album & first release in 23 years. In celebration of the upcoming tour, the band released a video for 'Mine.'

This summer, Craft Recordings is set to relaunch a legendary group of hip-hop titles originally released between 1989 and 1995 on Delicious Vinyl, the Los Angeles-based classic label whose catalog of West Coast party rock and conscious rap still gets play on radio and at functions worldwide. Featuring audio remastered by Dave Cooley at Elysian Masters, these LPs represent some of the most lasting music of the genre.

Pasadena Playhouse - State Theatre of California is announcing more entertainment and participants for the Playhouse Block Party, the theatre's Centennial celebration in partnership with the Playhouse District Association.  This all-day event, free to the public, is from 12-noon to 10:00pm today, June 9 on El Molino Ave. at Colorado Blvd.  There will be more than twenty performances on two different stages - a Main Stage and a Kids' Stage -- during the course of the day, in addition to activity booths hosted by some of Pasadena's most celebrated arts organizations, theatre tours, a silent disco, and more.

On May 4, Belly return with DOVE, their first full length album release in 23 years. The album was produced and recorded by band member Tom Gorman alongside longtime friend of the group Paul Q. Kolderie (Hole, Throwing Muses, Radiohead). Today, the band shared the official video for 'Shiny One,' the first single to be released from the forthcoming album.

On Monday evening, March 19, PlayGround concludes its 24th season of Monday Night PlayGround with a special "Musical Theatre Night," inspired by and featuring the music of Philip Glass. The playwrights have just four-and-a-half days to generate their original short musicals and plays with music set to Philip Glass' String Quartets Nos 2-5 (as recorded by San Francisco's own Kronos Quartet in the 1995 recording "Kronos Quartet performs Philip Glass"). The top six will be matched up with leading directors and actors and presented as script-in-hand staged readings at Berkeley Repertory Theatre on March 19 at 8pm. Los Angeles writers will have their work on the same topic presented at L.A.'s Zephyr Theatre on March 12. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Copies of Seeing into Tomorrow: Haiku by Richard Wright (Millbrook Press/Lerner Publishing Group, 2018) will also be available for purchase.
