After several months of interviewing a number of incredibly qualified Bay Area candidates, the Dragon Board is pleased to announce that beginning in 2019, the team of Alika Spencer-Koknar and her husband Bora "Max" Koknar will step into the leadership role as co-Artistic Directors.

Lantern Theater Company concludes its record-smashing 2017/18 season with the regional premiere of Don't Dress for Dinner by French playwright Marc Camoletti. Lantern Resident Director Kathryn MacMillan will direct a cast that includes some of Philadelphia's finest comedic actors: Chris Anthony, Jessica Bedford, Marc LeVasseur, Lee Minora, Karen Peakes, and William Zielinski. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Oscar nominee Martin McDonagh's play Hangmen has been eying a Broadway transfer, but the move is not to be, according to the New York Post. Michael Riedel reports that the play, playing through March 25 at Atlantic Theater Company's Linda Gross Theater, will not arrive on Broadway this spring because leading man Johnny Flynn and his wife are expecting a baby.

London Classic Theatre today announces the full company for their UK tour of Charlotte Keatley's My Mother Said I Never Should. Artistic Director of LCT, Michael Cabot, directs Felicity Houlbrooke (Rosie Metcalfe), Fiz Marcus (Doris Partington), Kathryn Ritchie (Jackie Metcalfe) and Connie Walker (Margaret Bradley). Local high-school seniors and aspiring playwrights, Addison Antonoff, William Miner, and Carter A. Prentiss have been chosen by Dirt Dogs Theatre Co. (DDTCo.) as prizewinners of its inaugural Student Playwright Festival. Each playwright is awarded a $500 scholarship and is paired with a Houston-based playwright as a mentor to fine-tune the plays and prepare the plays for production.
